Strong child safety knowledge and values must be the foundation of all organisations who work with children and young people.
This scenario-driven, half-day training program is designed to build and assess alignment, develop and test learners’ ability to act in practice, and create a culture of child safety consciousness and conversation. The program can be adapted and applied in all jurisdictions and environments, from early learning to security to trade apprenticeships, and for all workers, including children and young people. It can be repeated annually and facilitated internally where resources are available.
Historical cases show that simple training, like eLearning or policy review, is insufficient to protect children and meet organisational responsibility. Robust training ensures not only safety and compliance, but allows for organisational response to prevent any emerging or hidden issues that can be identified from behaviour or values shared in classes.
