While each certificate or diploma qualification has a set duration, within that period your learning can be as flexible as you like, and self-paced or guided. Online learning is supported by virtual and\/or face-to-face workshops, via our short courses<\/a> which provide practical learning opportunities throughout the year.<\/p>\n Enrolments are always open, <\/strong>and you can start anytime. Tasks could include online quizzes, true\/false questions, fact-checking exercises, in-class participation in role plays, analysis of scenarios, research tasks, discussion, reviews from workplace supervisor, work samples, self-assessment, and email or online submission of prepared written assignments of all kinds. In some cases, particular for students with significant professional experience, a competency conversation may help to assess some skills and knowledge.<\/p>\n Students will be informed of the assessment requirements, conditions, and schedule for each unit of competency prior to commencement.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)<\/em> involves the assessment of previously unrecognised skills and knowledge that an individual has achieved outside the formal education and training system. RPL is an assessment process that assesses the individual\u2019s non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes, competency outcomes, or standards for entry to, and\/or partial or total completion of, a qualification (AQF).<\/p>\n Students may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they have relevant and current work or life experience and consider they are able to meet the unit purpose may seek recognition. Students may apply for RPL\/Credit Transfer prior to or immediately after formal enrolment but prior to the facilitated delivery of units to ensure that they do not miss any class\/practical opportunities offered should they be unsuccessful in the RPL process.<\/p>\n Wise Workplace Training offers a supportive, transparent RPL process. Contact us<\/a> to discuss if you wish to apply for RPL for guidance on the process, an initial assessment, and indicative costs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n NOTE<\/strong>: PSP50416 Diploma of Government Investigations<\/a> offered by Wise Workplace Training is available under RPL assessment ONLY.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Credit Transfer <\/em>means granting of credits against an equivalent and nationally recognised unit of competency completed as part of earlier studies.<\/p>\n Credit transfer does not involve assessment and is granted on the determination of equivalency between two units of competency. Unit selection and suitability are guided by packaging rules of the relevant course or qualification. Appropriate credit transfer may be granted to eligible learners against each unit of competency on evidence to the successful completion of the same unit in an equivalent or higher nationally endorsed qualification.<\/p>\n Wise Workplace Training uses the National Principles and Operational Guidelines for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as guidelines and has implemented its policy document Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We provide a flexible mode of study comprising of our online learning management system and virtual workshops.\u00a0 Our LMS can be accessed from any device at any time.<\/p>\n Students are provided with the login details to the system on enrolment.<\/p>\n Students are advised to attend the online orientation session (check the date in your enrolment confirmation letter) for a detailed overview and step-by-step guide to access and use the LMS.<\/p>\n For help with the LMS, contact the student support team.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wise Workplace Training conducts online student orientations to help students effectively commence and undertake their courses, and inductions for every in-person course. The orientation session helps understand key academic and administrative processes, key policies, procedures, and information about mode of delivery, course contents, and assessment requirements.
