This two to four day program will help existing and emerging leaders meet the challenges of modern workplaces with focus, energy and compassion.

Building Modern Leadership Practice uses modern values and techniques to embed a transformational style of leadership in all business activities. Leaders will make a difference by motivating others to grow, creating a safe and supportive workplace culture, and modelling a self-aware approach to personal development. Building Modern Leadership Practice is designed to help bridge the gap between traditional and modern leadership styles, help leaders find authenticity in their work, and embed a people-first approach to workplace culture.

This is a standalone course, but also includes some requirements of BSB40520 Certificate IV Leadership and Management.

Topics include:

  • Understanding traditional, modern and your own leadership styles
  • Setting yourself up to lead: time management, delegation, managing your own limits and challenges, reflective practice
  • Leadership philosophy: values and alignment, leadership qualities, building trust
  • The performance framework: goal setting, feedback & coaching processes, performance planning, and difficult conversations
  • Leadership thinking: generating ideas, critical and strategic thinking, ethical leadership
  • Leadership living: networking, personal development goals, habits and personal branding

Private classes: 2 Days = $3,600 plus GST per cohort, 4 Days = $6,000 plus GST per cohort,

Groups of 3 students or more enrolling together each get a 10% discount. Learners who enrol in our accredited BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management within six months of this course may receive a 25% discount, and may qualify for credit towards the certificate. Learners wishing to take up this opportunity are advised to retain records of their attendance and their activities completed during the class.

Course Entry Requirements

  • Must be 18 or more years old
  • Must have obtained an academic level of Year 12 or above or equivalent
  • Must meet course prerequisites and the requirements of our enrolment process

Training Dates

If you would like a private course for 4 or more learners, these can be run in person or online. Please contact us directly to make arrangements.

If you want undertake this course but don’t have 4 or more learners, please contact us to express your interest. We will notify you once there are enough interested learners to run a public cohort.

An important note: during 2024, all public courses will be delivered online using Zoom

Once we know a course that suits you has sufficient enrolment numbers to go ahead, we’ll provide you with the details for your final confirmation. You won’t receive an invoice until this happens.

Note that where enrolment numbers are low, courses may be rescheduled to ensure enough learners are present for effective group learning. Where this occurs, learners will be notified approximately two weeks before the date, and invited to the new sessions or offered an alternative arrangement. 

Please note that the delivery of classroom-based training is subject to change due to government mandated COVID19 restrictions and the need to ensure safety for all participants. As such, classroom-based training may be substituted with digital online training if required.
