In today’s dynamic and interconnected workplace, maintaining a high standard of conduct is crucial for fostering a healthy and productive work environment. The Workplace Conduct Standards (Advanced) program is designed to provide participants with a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding workplace behaviour. The course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to address a wide range of conduct-related issues effectively, first by identifying and categorising behaviour in accordance with modern social standards and legal requirements.

This course is a half day, and can be paired with our other programs.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this short course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand traditional definitions of each kind of conduct
  • Understand online misconduct
  • Know how and when values & missions can be workplace standards
  • Apply “zero tolerance” policies
  • Be confident in distinguishing bullying from management, or bullying from discrimination
  • Understand harassment through the lens of objective (not subjective) consideration
  • Identify cases of “legal” discrimination (not related to protected categories) and how to manage expectations
  • Apply criteria to distinguish work issues from private life
  • Distinguish underperformance from misconduct, and manage conflicting processes
  • Apply strategies for managing misconduct around flexible work arrangements
  • Manage issues where accepted practice conflicts with workplace standards
  • Manage misconduct where parties appear complicit

Private classes: $1,500 plus GST per cohort (recommended class size from 4-30).

Course Entry Requirements

  • Must be 18 or more years old
  • Must have obtained an academic level of Year 12 or above or equivalent
  • Must meet course prerequisites and the requirements of our enrolment process
